Our policy of safe working
Cravencroft has a rigorously enforced policy of safe working throughout the organisation and employs an external Health & Safety Consultancy practice (Systems 4 Safety Ltd) to review, monitor and audit our businesses Health & Safety performance.
Our comprehensive Health and Safety policy and procedures are communicated to all staff and members of our supply chain involved in our construction activities through induction training, memos, communiqués and regular toolbox talks. The policy is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that we meet all legislative standards and are following best industry safety practices.
Our staff regularly attend technical safety courses, including CDM and all operatives are trained in first aid, site safety and plant awareness.
Cravencroft has achieved accreditation to the Safety Systems in Procurement SMAS and Acclaim Accreditation having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current Health and Safety legislation.
Cravencroft holds a 100% CSCS card policy, any operative whom attends site and does not present their card upon site induction will be removed from site, we aim for all supply chain partners to provide each site with a SSTS trained supervisor to ensure compliance with our Health and Safety procedures.
All of our senior management team are DBS cleared, we carry out checks on our supply chain partners Site Supervisors to ensure they are DBS checked prior to starting works on site where applicable, if a DBS clearance does not come back satisfactory then the individual will not be granted access to the site. We will provide all operatives with identity cards clearly displaying their photo ID, name, role and what company the individual works for.
