Project description

As part of Allports Phase 2 project, we were appointed by Allports Group to construct a new class 7 MOT and service facility to the rear of their existing workshop facilities at their Lichfield site. We were responsible for the design and construction of the works including the sub structure works and installation of the 18 and 30 metre in ground inspection pit systems provided by Everquip. The building is constructed from a steel portal frame with a Kingspan KS1000 RW built up roofing system with a Euroclad built up cladding system to the doors.

We completed the mechanical and electrical installation to the workshop facility including lighting and fire alarm systems, gas radiant heating system mounted at roof level and pipelines for the pit services.

The external part of the Allports Phase 2 project involved altering the existing surface water drainage system to accommodate the new workshop facility with an oil bypass separator installed to treat the surface water run off to the new and existing yard areas. The external yard areas were increased in size to allow sufficient room for access and egress of lorry tractor units from the Allports Phase 2 new workshop / MOT facility.
